Retreat Gifts

I had so much fun making my little bat zipper pulls, I decided to make project bag/scissor/key fob dangles for everyone at the retreat.  It was a small retreat with <50 people, so this was inexpensive, quick to make,  and fun to do.

Table Gifts - Bat Zipper Pulls

I made little zipper pulls for all of my table mates too.  I loved the little bat beads I found at Michaels.  The rest of the materials I have on hand in my workshop.

A little stitchy gift for Stacie

I'm going to a retreat in Savannah this weekend with one of my friends, so I decided to make little name tag pouches for us to use.  She loves strawberries, so the red one is for her.  The green one has autumn leaves on it.  That's for me. I used the free pattern from ByAnnie. The pattern is called "Call Me".

Please don't look too closely at the stitching or how wonky the shape.  I'm just learning to sew.

Bee-scornu by Erin Elizabeth (FFO)

I finished up the Bee-scornu to go with the rest of my Erin Elizabeth bee and lavender display.
I just love stitching biscornus!

Give Thanks - Primrose (FFO)

This was a fun FFO to do.  I found the pumpkin at the Dollar store. I just mounted the fabric on a piece of batting covered bat board cut to fit inside the pumpkin.  I added a few decorations and voila.  A cute little FFO.

Stitched on 32 ct. light taupe lugana, with the called for floss.

Happy Harvest Sip n Stitch 2025 - Primrose (FFO)

Another FFO from the "to be done" pile. From the 2025 Fall Sip n Stitch.   Included floss and finishing materials.  Stitched on 32 ct. light taupe lugana.

Ginger - Stacy Nash (WIP)

Our Discord group has been stitching on Stacy Nash's crackers on Wednesday evenings for the month of September to honor our Designer of the month.  Each month we pick a new designer to stitch or to pull out finishes and FFOs with each other.

Ginger is being stitched on 40 ct. Aztec Red, but I created my own color conversion.  I want her to more closely match the Bobbin conversion I completed last year.

Happy Day - Plum Street (WIP)

We were challenged to take one of our older WIPs and make it the WIP of the week. We were to put it as many stitches as we liked, then show the before and after picture.

I was able to get a few more stitches in on Paulette Stewart's Happy Day.  Stitched on 40 ct. Affogato linen, with all the called for flosses.  This piece was set aside to finish some time sensitive model stitching and I just didn't get back to it quickly.  I'm happy it is back in the rotation.

Lavender series and Bee Farm - Erin Elizabeth (FFO)

I finally got the display pieces from Paisley's and Polka Dot painted and assembled.  Now my Lavender series can join the Bee Farm I did last year in my August display of bee themed projects.

I'm very happy with the way they turned out.

Fox & Rabbit 2026 Mystery SAL - September (WIP)

It's not a great picture, but this is the status of my Fox and Rabbit Mystery SAL.

This month was a little stitch heavy, but I really enjoyed cherry picking the colors and following the patterns.

This month's section...
