Heart's Ease Exemplar - Scottish Friendship Pincushion - Theresa Baird (New Start)

I started the Scottish Friendship pincushion pattern that I received at the April 2025 Retreat at Hobby House.

Heart’s Ease Examplar Workes | A Scottish Friendship Pincushion now available - exclusively from Hobby House Needleworks! Theresa Baird

This is what it will look like when done.  I plan to use a lighter fabric and will use the called for NPI threads.

Busy month for quilts! JDNA Jungle crib quilt top

I got another crib quilt top done.

My friend Stacie was able to quilt my crib quilt top on her longarm machine saving me a tremendous amount of time.

Here is the Jack Dempsey Needle Arts "Jungle" Crib Quilt Top.  It is 40" x 60" and I used a cotton jungle print on the back and binding.

The top is completely cross, stem and satin stitches.

Project Bag - Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch

An older flosstube by ElizabethAnnCanStitch came up on my feed that looked really easy and I thought I'd try it to use up some leftover fabric.

It was a very easy pattern and as always, her instructions were very quick and easy to follow.

Here is the link to the floss tube:

Lindy Stitches - Harvest Moon Hangout Virtual Retreat

I attended the Lindy Stitches Harvest Moon Hangout retreat this weekend.

I took the Spooky Starburst Project Bag class with Tiger Lily. I love her classes, I've taken quite a few and always learn something new.

Here is the bag I made. I kitted it up myself.

I used a fat quarter bundle assortment titled Costume Party. I was tired of all the black and orange.

The best part is that there was a cute little maltese dog dressed up as a candy corn that I could fussy cut for the center.

This looks exactly like my dog, Dolly!

Hands on Design - Stitch in the Garden - (New Start)

I started a new stitch today.

I needed something quick and I just love stitching Hands on Design patterns in between my big projects.

I will stitch the pincushion first, then will do the other two.

Fabric:  32 ct. lugana, white

Floss:  I used the called for flosses, GAST: Banker’s Grey, Cornhusk, Dungarees, and Tropical Ocean but substituted Weeks Dye Works - Louisiana Hot Sauce for the Rhubarb.

Teresa Kogut Patreon Hometown SAL - WIP

 I'm still on track!

I can't believe I've kept up to date every month for the past two years during this mystery SAL.  I have loved every minute of the SAL.

Each month is an easily handled section.  This made it enjoyable and not a task to be done. Thank you Teresa!

Transportation Crib Quilt

I had to take a few days to make a crib quilt for one of my friends.  This is the Jack Dempsey Needle Arts Quilt Blocks - Transportation.  The blocks are all cross stitch and stem stitch.  I used a cotton blue batik for the framing and a cotton superhero print for the back.

Little Batty Ornament - Teresa Kogut

Cute! Cute! Cute! I'm going to start this ornament from Teresa's patreon today for my "travel" stitch.  I always keep a little stitch with me in case I get stuck waiting somewhere or am bored wherever I happen to be. :-)

I'll post a better picture when I'm done.

Lucy to Henry & Henry to Lucy - Plum Street & Heartstring Samplery

 New Start!

I've been dying to start the retreat stitch from The Hobby House in April 2024.  We got a collaborative piece from Beth Twist and Paulette Stewart.  There were 4 sections to the complete project if you wanted to stitch it as a long band.

I can't wait to work on it.

9/3 - 9/6 Hiatus for Model Stitch

 Shh!

I'm busy stitching a model stitch for the next few days and...

No!  (much to the chagrin of my Discord pals), I won't tell you what it is or show it to you. Sorry!

Hello Spring - Primrose (Free Stitch Friday)

Today's stitch was a Free Stitch Friday chart from Lindsey Weight @primrosecottagestitches. I needed something quick to stitch while I was waiting for a special package to arrive.

Featured FFO: Teresa Kogut

I was packing away my patriotic stitches, and had to take a picture before putting them in the bin.

I just LOVE these recent FFO's I did for the 4th of July display. "Patriotic Tweet", "USA Star", and "God Bless the USA" are all from Teresa Kogut.  Quick to stitch and quick to FFO!

Fabric: 32 ct. Lugana, Light Taupe

Flosses: Used the same for all - did my own conversion on flosses to use my stash.
