Warm Winter Stitches

Warm Winter Stitches from Primrose Cottage

This was my second finish today.  I find I like to stitch Primrose patterns in between my large projects. I find them very relaxing, quick, and enjoyable to stitch and I always love the color palettes they pick.

This was a previous stitch from 2024.  I used all the materials from the Free Stitch Friday - Winter Wonderland stitch to do this one except I added Classic Color Works Cherry Cobbler for a touch of red.  I wish I had used the light blue for the "Warm Winter" text and the dark blue for "Stitches", but I still like it.

Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland from Primrose Cottage Stitches

This was the Free Stitch Friday for January from Primrose Cottage.

I did purchase the kit with the fabric, floss, & finishing fabric.

Fabric:  28 ct. light ash grey lugana

Flosses:
Cottage Garden Threads: Blue Heaven, Spruce, Water Wheel
DMC:  844, 3853 and 3865

I'm not sure how I'm going to fully finish this one yet.  It will look wonderful in my January snowman display.

Let it Snow!

Let it Snow from Hands on Design

Fabric: 32 ct. Vintage Country Mocha

Floss:  My own conversion of flosses.

I can't wait to FFO this one.  I will be finishing it as a round ornament with the "snow" banner.

The photo is a little dark.  The dark color is blue, not black.  The snow text is a blended dark and light blue.

This is what it is supposed to look like:

A Week of Hands On Design!

Hands on Design: Gather Pinecones, Gather Moments, & Winter Folk

I'm so excited!  I spent the last week starting and finishing the last seasonal stitches in 3 different series from Hands on Design and they stitched up in a hurry.  Almost one a day!  Winter Folk obviously took more than that.  Yes, I know there is an error in the Gather Pinecones round but I decided not to frog it this time.  I just loved stitching every single one of these designs in all 3 series.  I can't wait to see what Cathy Habermann comes up with next!

Fabric:  32 ct. linen, Platinum - (much lighter in person than the photo)

Floss:  DMC

Exceptions:  I used two strands of 3362 for the long stitched pine needles instead of just one.

These will be FFO'd on the paddles and boards I used for the 3 series. (FFO image to come).

Chatelaine Watergarden SAL 2025 - Part 1

Part One - Complete!

Fabric:  28 ct. linen, "Friendship" from Oak Crown Studios

Stitched with called for silks, flosses and beads from European CrossStitch Company.

I will stitch all cross stitches first, then do the specialty threads, and finally the beads.

So excited to stitch a larger Chatelaine.

Chatelaine Watergarden SAL Starts Today!

Started a new SAL today! I've been itching to start another Chatelaine, but didn't want to start a really big one.  When I saw this SAL posted on Instagram and Facebook, I decided to join.  It's open to everyone so if you want to join in, search for the Facebook group.

Group name:  Chatelaine Wantergarden SAL 2025. (on Facebook)

Fabric:  28 ct. linen, Friendship from Oak Crown Studios (very slight mottled pale creamy yellow).

Floss:  I splurged and got all the called for flosses and beads including the silks from European Crossstitch Company.  Aren't they beautiful?

I'll keep you posted on my progress.
